In addition, the immuno-nutrients Vitamin C&D³ support your baby's immune system, which is still developing significantly until 3 years of age. In addition to DHA3 and ALA3 (omega-3 fatty acids), Aptamil Pronutra 2 contains the omega fatty acid ARA.

LCPs
LCPs are long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids. Your baby cannot yet produce LCPs in sufficient quantities by itself and must therefore absorb them through food, such as breast milk.
As pioneers, we added LCPs such as the high-quality omega-3 fatty acid DHA to our infant formula decades ago - long before this addition is now the European standard.
ALA³, another omega-3 fatty acid, supports normal brain and nerve cell development.

Aptamil® Pronutra 2 is suitable for babies after the 6th month and can be given after breastfeeding or following an initial formula.
Conditions of storage and use
Always reseal an opened pack well by pressing the hand symbol on the lid until it clicks into place. Once opened, use up within four weeks. Store dry and out of heat.

The number and drinking quantity per bottle vary individually. The indicated drinking quantities and the number of bottles per day are only recommended guideline values. When full and levelled off, a measuring spoon holds 4.8 g.

When preparing Aptamil® Pronutra 2, follow the instructions for use carefully. Improper preparation and storage can lead to health problems due to the growth of undesirable germs. Prepare the food fresh before each meal and feed it immediately. Do not reuse leftover food. Thoroughly clean the bottle, teat and ring. Do not heat up formula in the microwave (risk of overheating).
- 1. Allow fresh, boiled drinking water to cool down to approx. 40°C and pour 2/3 of the required amount of water into the bottle.
- 2. For an exact dosing of the powder, wipe off the enclosed measuring spoon on the scraper. Only use the measuring spoon provided.
- 3. Pour the required amount of powder into the bottle. Store the measuring spoon in the spoon holder.
- 4. Close the bottle and shake vigorously vertically for approx. 10 seconds, add the remaining amount of drinking water and shake vigorously again.
- 5. Open bottle and attach teat. Check the contents of the bottle for drinking temperature (approx. 37°C).
The number of bottles and drinking quantities are guide values and can vary individually. For 1 measuring spoon of powder you need 30 ml of water. A full measuring spoon holds 4.8 g. Please refer to the dosage table on the product packaging.

Like any follow-on milk, Aptamil® Pronutra 2 follow-on milk should not be used as a breast milk substitute in the first 6 months, but only after 6 months as part of a mixed diet. However, your baby's individual growth and development needs may make it necessary to introduce follow-on formula as part of a mixed diet into your baby's diet at an earlier stage. Please consult your pediatrician for advice.
Dental health: All baby food contains carbohydrates. Frequent and prolonged contact with foods containing carbohydrates can cause tooth decay. Don't leave your child to suck on the bottle all the time.
