Relieves severe abdominal pain and abdominal cramps
The Buscopan PLUS film-coated tablets for pain and cramps in the abdominal area have an antispasmodic and analgesic effect. The application is recommended for severe pain and cramps in the abdominal area, e.g. B. in gastrointestinal diseases, menstrual problems / menstrual pain, cystitis or digestive disorders such as diarrhea.
Buscopan Plus is based on a natural raw material: extracts from the Duboisia plant are chemically optimized to create a well-tolerated and antispasmodic active ingredient. This relaxes the cramped stomach and intestinal muscles, prevents their overactivity and the natural movement sequences can be restored. In addition, Buscopan Plus contains the painkiller paracetamol. Both active ingredients support each other in their antispasmodic and analgesic effects.

Buscopan® PLUS
Abdominal pain and cramps can occur more frequently in everyday life than one would like. Whether as a result of menstrual pain, gastrointestinal infections, cystitis or an unhealthy diet - in acute cases, rapid relief is required. For more severe symptoms, Buscopan® PLUS is your companion.
Abdominal pain and abdominal cramps usually become noticeable when the muscles in the abdomen tense up and can no longer relax on their own. Buscopan® PLUS combines the antispasmodic agent butylscopolamine with the analgesic agent paracetamol. Thanks to the dual effect of Buscopan® PLUS, not only is a spasm of the gastrointestinal muscles relieved, but the perception of pain is also reduced.
Painkillers can work throughout the body to reduce pain perception by blocking pain signals. When painkillers are used alone, the pain is only masked, but its cause is not eliminated. The combination with the active ingredient butylscopolamine in Buscopan® PLUS, on the other hand, acts specifically where the pain occurs – in the abdominal area. This specifically relieves the cramp in the abdomen and thus relieves the pain. Buscopan® PLUS works where it is really needed and is well tolerated.
Thanks to the active ingredient paracetamol, Buscopan® PLUS is effective against a variety of different types of pain, for example during the period. Because of its good tolerability for the stomach and intestines, Buscopan® PLUS can be taken during any monthly period if required.
Buscopan® PLUS can also be an effective companion during a bladder infection. Acute, uncomplicated cystitis is often accompanied by severe pain, cramps in the lower abdomen and pain when urinating. The composition of Buscopan® PLUS relieves the symptoms. It relieves cramps, reduces the burning sensation when urinating and relieves pain - whether on the go or at home.
Abdominal pain and abdominal cramps can also occur as a result of gastrointestinal diseases, an unbalanced diet, spicy or fatty foods. Here, too, there is usually a cramping of the gastrointestinal muscles, which can literally feel like a "knot in the stomach". Buscopan® PLUS unties this knot by displacing the excess messenger substances in the gastrointestinal muscles. This can relieve the cramps in the abdomen, and the tormenting abdominal pain and cramps subside.
Whether in the stomach, intestines, uterus or bladder - Buscopan® PLUS is your specialist when it comes to relieving abdominal pain and cramps. Buscopan® PLUS is available as film-coated tablets and suppositories. The most suitable dosage can be found in the package leaflet or recommended by your doctor or pharmacist.
The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

- With long-term use of painkillers, headaches caused by the painkiller can occur. Talk to your doctor to prevent your headache from becoming chronic.
- The habitual use of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage. If several painkillers are combined, or if one painkiller contains several active ingredients, the risk increases.
- Be careful if you are allergic to painkillers!
- Be careful if you are allergic to binding agents (e.g. carboxymethyl cellulose with the E number E 466)!
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicine you are already using before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
How do the ingredients of the drug work?
Butylscopolamine: The active ingredient influences the nervous system by preventing the transmission of certain stimuli. Various transmitter substances are involved in the transmission of stimuli, the function of which is partially suppressed by butylscopolamine. In this way, the drug is able to relieve spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, the bile and urinary tract and the uterus.
Paracetamol: The active ingredient has an analgesic and fever-reducing effect. It also has low anti-inflammatory properties. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body, so-called prostaglandins. These are significantly involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.
