Cystinol acute coated tablets. In inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract.
With Cystinol acute dragees, an effective herbal drug is available for the treatment of acute, uncomplicated urinary tract infections (cystitis).
Its broad antibacterial effect against the most common pathogens of urinary tract infections leads to a reduction in the number of germs and thus also to a reduction in symptoms. Significant improvement in symptoms can be expected after just 1-2 days. The development of resistance that often occurs under antibiotic therapy is avoided.
Note: The cystinol acute active ingredient - bearberry leaf dry extract - contains the phenol glucoside arbutin. Drugs containing arbutin should not be taken for more than 1 week and no more than 5 times a year without medical advice.
*** When you have a bladder infection, it's important to drink plenty of fluids and keep your body warm. By increasing fluid intake, the bladder is emptied regularly and pathogens are flushed out of the body. To enhance this effect, we recommend drinking a cup of Bladder and Kidney Tea from Heumann three to five times a day. Herbal ingredients such as goldenrod and birch leaves support healing gently and effectively.

How does the ingredient of the medicine work?
The ingredients come from the bearberry plant and act as a natural mixture. About the plant itself:
- Appearance: small, evergreen shrub with inverted ovoid, tough leaves, white-reddish bell-shaped flowers ripen into scarlet spherical fruits -
Occurrence: Europe, Asia, North America
- Main ingredients: arbutin, methylarbutin, tannins
- Plant parts and preparations used: mainly extracts of the dried leaves
Arbutin and its related substances have an antibacterial effect and also inhibit the growth of fungi. The arbutin itself is not effective here, it must first be converted into the active form in the body. The tannins that are also present support the germicidal effect of arbutin.
