Regaine® WOMAN FOAM – for hormonal hereditary hair loss
Hormonal-hereditary hair loss? You are not alone: up to 42% of women suffer from it. One solution is provided by Regaine® WOMAN FOAM, which with its active ingredient Minoxidil in a unique 5% concentration works directly at the root of the problem: Applied to the scalp, Minoxidil stops hair loss and promotes the growth of new, stronger hair - without interfering with the hormonal balance !
How Regaine® WOMEN FOAM works
The active ingredient minoxidil contained in Regaine® WOMEN FOAM, which is offered by Regaine® for the first time in a 5% concentration (50 mg/g) for women, stops hereditary hormonal hair loss. The active ingredient dilates the blood vessels and thus stimulates the blood and nutrient supply to the hair: Several scientific studies have shown that after just 12 weeks the hereditary hormone-related hair loss can be stopped and new hair growth promoted.
How is Regaine® WOMAN FOAM used?
Apply 1 g of Regaine® WOMAN FOAM once a day – which corresponds to about half a protective cap. Before using Regaine® WOMAN FOAM, these points should be noted:
- Scalp and hair must be dry.
- Provide a cool surface, such as a saucer, to place the foam on.
- Alternatively, you can put the foam in your palms. Note, however, that it melts when it comes into contact with warm skin.
- Waschen Sie sich vor der Anwendung die Hände mit kaltem Wasser und trocknen Sie sie sorgfältig ab.
After that, you should proceed as follows:
- Step: To open the foam, line up the arrows on the can and protective cap and then pull off the cap.
- Step 1: Hold the container with the spray head pointing downwards and put 1 g (which corresponds to about half a capful) of Regaine® WOMAN FOAM in your hand or ideally on a flat bowl or saucer.
- Step 2: Part the thinned sections of hair and starting from the back of the head forward, apply the foam to the scalp and massage in with your fingertips. Then you should draw at least 2 more parts next to the center part and do the same.
After using Regaine® WOMAN FOAM you can style your hair as usual. However, you should not wet it for about 4 hours after application. Thoroughly wash your hands and shallow dish or saucer after application. Close the container after each use.
Important: Continued use of Regaine® WOMAN FOAM is critical to success!
The shedding effect: a positive sign
After about 2 - 6 weeks of treatment with Regaine® WOMEN'S FOAM, the old hair that is no longer active can start to fall out – the so-called shedding effect. But don't let this unsettle you, because this effect will subside within a few weeks and is a good indication that from the 12th week onwards, stronger regrowth of new, stronger hair is imminent. So don't stop using it.
Active ingredient: minoxidil

What should you consider?
- Antioxidants (eg butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene) can cause skin irritation (eg contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.
- Emulsifiers (eg cetyl/stearyl alcohol) can cause skin irritation (eg contact dermatitis).
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicine you are already using before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
How does the ingredient of the medicine work?
The active ingredient lowers high blood pressure by expanding the blood vessels and thus reducing the resistance of the vessel.
When the active ingredient was used, increased hair growth was initially observed as an undesirable effect. This effect is now used therapeutically. However, the mechanism of action responsible for this has not yet been clarified.
Efficacy in the temple area (receding hairline) has not been proven.
