Application:

adults :

• At the beginning of the treatment 10 drops 3 times a day.
• After 1 week increase the dose to 20 drops 3 times a day.

children :

• 10 drops dissolved in a little water once a day at lunchtime.

infants :

• 5 drops dissolved in a little water once a day at lunchtime.

Vital intestinal bacteria can only settle in a healthy intestinal mucosa and healthy digestion can take place. You should therefore also take metacare Darmfit if you have problems with the intestinal mucosa, indigestion or to build up a normal intestinal flora. Selected nutrients, including vitamins C, B2, B3 and biotin, support the normal function of the mucous membranes and digestion and maintain a healthy intestinal flora.

Symbioflor® 2

Symbioflor® 2 is a drug with probiotic bacteria that is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The contained E. Coli bacteria support the intestines in a natural way.

In Germany, around 11 million people are affected by irritable bowel syndrome. It is a functional disorder of the intestines, with symptoms such as bloating, abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhea. Many of those affected have chronic complaints that become a burden in everyday life. Stress can make symptoms worse.

Irritable bowel patients often have a different intestinal flora compared to healthy people. This contains fewer different types of bacteria and is less robust against external influences. This can impair the functioning of the intestine.

Symbioflor® 2 is one of the few drugs in the world that contains living E. coli bacteria. Clinical studies have shown that taking it has a positive effect on stool frequency and stool consistency in irritable bowel patients and that flatulence is reduced. The drug is free of preservatives, free of alcohol and can be individually dosed thanks to the practical glass dropper. Symbioflor® 2 helps to combat the causes of the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome in a natural way.

Adults
take 10 drops three times a day with meals at the beginning of treatment. After a week, increase the dose to 20 drops three times a day. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as flatulence, diarrhea, abdominal pain or discomfort worsen at the beginning of treatment or occur more frequently, Symbioflor® 2 should be diluted in water or taken in a smaller amount, or the number of drops should be increased more slowly.

A period of use of 8 weeks is recommended. If symptoms worsen during treatment or persist after 8 weeks of treatment, seek medical advice.

Use in children and adolescents:
No dosage can be recommended since the safety and effectiveness of Symbioflor® 2 in children and adolescents has not yet been verified.

The active substance is: Bacterial concentrate with Escherichia coli bacteria (DSM 17252, cells and autolysate) corresponding to 1.5 - 4.5 x 10^7 living cells

What speaks against an application?

- Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient
- Severe organic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, such as:
- Acute gallbladder inflammation
- Acute inflammation of the pancreas
- Intestinal obstruction
- Pathological weight loss as a side effect of serious illnesses
- Protein gel that leads to the depletion of all energy and protein reserves

Which age group should be considered ?
- Children and adolescents under 18 years of age: The medicine must not be used.

What about pregnancy and lactation?
- Pregnancy: consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the drug can be used during pregnancy.
- Breast-feeding: consult your doctor or pharmacist. He will examine your particular starting position and advise you accordingly as to whether and how you can continue breastfeeding.

If you have been prescribed the drug despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit can be higher than the risk that the use entails in the event of a contraindication.
