Pain gel with the active ingredient Diclofenac
Voltaren Pain Gel forte relieves joint pain* for up to 12 hours - directly on the affected area. The active ingredient Diclofenac penetrates deep into the joint and concentrates specifically at the site of the inflammation.
The advantage: the pain gel contains twice the concentration of the pain-relieving active ingredient diclofenac (compared to topical pain gels containing 1% diclofenac). It is therefore sufficient to apply the gel twice a day - preferably in the morning and in the evening.

Pain relief gel for pain relief up to 12 hours. Voltaren Pain Gel forte relieves acute joint pain as a result of blunt trauma (e.g. back pain and neck pain) for up to 12 hours - directly on the affected area.
Apply Voltaren Pain Relief Gel forte twice a day. Depending on the size of the painful area to be treated, an amount the size of a cherry to a walnut is required. Then wash your hands.

The anti-inflammatory active ingredient diclofenac has been proven to penetrate deep into the tissue in order to specifically combat one of the most common causes of pain: inflammation.
Accelerates healing Pain is relieved, which speeds up healing and your joint's range of motion is restored more quickly.
Reduced risk of systemic side effects The gel penetrates deep into the skin. In contrast to tablets, it acts directly on the painful area and the risk of systemic side effects is reduced.
The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
Type of application?
Apply the medicine to the affected skin area(s). Then massage in the medicine. Wash your hands thoroughly after use. Avoid accidental contact with mucous membranes, eyes and open skin.
Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the type of complaint and/or duration of the illness and is therefore only determined by your doctor.
overdose?
If the drug is used as described, no overdose symptoms are known. If in doubt consult your doctor.
In general, pay attention to a conscientious dosage, especially for babies, small children and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
A dosage prescribed by the doctor may deviate from the information on the package leaflet. Therefore, since the doctor adjusts them individually, you should use the medicine according to his instructions.

- Children under 14 years of age: The medicine must not be used.
What about pregnancy and lactation?
- Pregnancy: consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the drug can be used during pregnancy.
- Breast-feeding: consult your doctor or pharmacist. He will examine your particular starting position and advise you accordingly as to whether and how you can continue breastfeeding.

What adverse effects may occur?

The medicinal product may be used for a maximum of 3 years after opening/preparation!

What should you consider?
- Caution: Patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory infections, asthma or people who are prone to allergic reactions such as hay fever: the drug can trigger an asthma attack or a severe allergic skin reaction. Therefor consult your doctor before usage.
- Be careful if you are allergic to painkillers!
- Antioxidants (eg butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene) can cause skin irritation (eg contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.
- Solvents (eg propylene glycol, E 477) can cause skin irritation.
How does the ingredient of the medicine work?
The active ingredient has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory at the same time. The drug also has antirheumatic properties. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body, so-called prostaglandins. These are significantly involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation

HOW IS IT USED?
Simple and clean - Voltaren Pain Gel forte is formulated to be non-greasy and has an exclusive click closure. Apply a thin layer of the gel to the painful area and massage in gently. Then leave the gel on for a few minutes before getting dressed again. Wipe your hands with a paper towel (unless this is the area to be treated) and throw the paper towel in the trash. Ingredients:
The active ingredient is: diclofenac-N-ethylethanamine 23.2 mg in 1 g gel (equivalent to 20 mg diclofenac sodium). Areas of application in adolescents over 14 years and adults:
For the local, symptomatic treatment of pain in acute bruises, strains or sprains as a result of blunt trauma, eg sports injuries and accidental injuries. In adolescents over 14 years of age, the drug is intended for short-term treatment.
Dosage and duration of use:
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Voltaren Pain Gel forte should be used twice a day (preferably in the morning and in the evening).
To do this, apply a thin amount (1-4g of gel) the size of a cherry to a walnut to the painful area and rub in lightly. Before you cover the area again with clothing or apply an air-permeable bandage, the gel should dry on the skin for a few minutes. Hands should then be washed unless they are the area to be treated.
Practical: The tube with a joint-friendly closure can be easily opened and closed with half a twist.
The duration of use depends on the symptoms and the underlying disease. Voltaren Pain Gel forte should not be used for longer than 1-3 weeks without medical advice. Do not use more Voltaren Pain Relief Gel than necessary and only for the minimum required duration of use.
