Fertilovit® F THY
For the dietary treatment of women with autoimmune thyroiditis who wish to have children. Preconception micronutrient combination without added iodine. With selenium and 800 μg folic acid. Time-delayed vitamin C release.
Deciding to have a child is a big step. Once the decision has been made, the journey into an exciting adventure begins. In order to give the baby the best possible start in its development, the future mother can do a lot. In addition to a healthy lifestyle, a balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables plays an important role.
Experts recommend supplying the female body with important vital substances and minerals a few months before a planned pregnancy through dietary supplements. Women with autoimmune thyroiditis should use special preparations.
What is Fertilovit® F THY?
Fertilovit® F THY is a dietetic food for special medical purposes (supplementary balanced diet) that is tailored to the needs of women who want to have children and have autoimmune thyroiditis. Due to its special composition, it can optimally prepare the body for an imminent pregnancy in order to give the new citizen a good start in life!

Autoimmune thyroiditis and the desire
to have children Chronic autoimmune thyroiditis is an autoimmune disease of the thyroid gland (thyroid gland) that can occur in different forms. In the case of the more common Hashimoto's thyroiditis, the body forms so-called autoantibodies against healthy thyroid cells, so that they are attacked and destroyed. The result is often a drop in hormone production by the thyroid (underactive thyroid = hypothyroidism).
In the somewhat rarer Graves' thyroiditis, on the other hand, autoantibodies are directed against a signaling molecule on the surface of the thyroid cells, which usually causes them to overshoot hormone production (hyperthyroidism = hyperthyroidism). In the long term, however, the affected patients often suffer from hypothyroidism.
It is estimated that every sixth woman is predisposed to autoimmune thyroiditis, but the causes and triggers are still largely unclear. A connection with genetic factors, iodine excess, changes in sex hormones during pregnancy or menopause, smoking and radiation is discussed.
The symptoms are diverse and vary from person to person. While in the overactive phase of the disease (hyperthyroidism) symptoms such as insomnia, nervousness and tremors, as well as hot flashes, tachycardia and hair loss are in the foreground, with an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) symptoms such as tiredness, weight gain, exhaustion and reduced performance are more likely to occur.
Sensitivity to cold, difficulty concentrating and even depressive states can occur. If you want to have children, menstrual cycle disorders, lack of sexual desire and limited fertility are symptoms that represent a great burden. The risk of miscarriage is also significantly increased.
However, treatment by a specialist doctor (e.g. with thyroid hormones) can in many cases make pregnancy possible. The patient herself can support the therapy with a healthy lifestyle and diet appropriate to the disease.
Low-iodine diet
According to scientific studies, excessive exposure to iodine often accelerates the course of the disease, especially in the acute phase, while an improvement is reported with a low-iodine diet.
Vitamins and vital substances influence fertility
The importance of a good supply of certain vital substances and minerals to the body is generally recognised. If you want to have children, the important functions of folic acid, including the protective function against spina bifida, have been known for a long time. In addition, large studies have shown that iron and vitamins from the B group in particular also contribute to the willingness to conceive.
Selenium
The soils in Europe are very poor in selenium, so that only little selenium is present in plants that grow on these soils, and thus also in the food. In the case of inflammatory diseases such as autoimmune thyroiditis, there is also an increased need that can sometimes no longer be covered by normal nutrition.
Oxidative stress
Even if, as mentioned above, the causes for the occurrence of autoimmune thyroiditis are not clear, recent scientific findings are making it increasingly clear that oxidative stress is at least involved in the development of the disease. This is the damage to cells caused by aggressive oxygen radicals.
Oxidative stress can fuel the immune process in the thyroid gland and is believed to be responsible for a significant portion of symptoms. In addition, oxidative stress also has a negative effect on the egg cells.
Antioxidants
The body normally has a number of defense mechanisms (antioxidants), but these are not always sufficiently available. The body's own system can be weakened, especially under stress, with smokers or with poor nutrition. An additional supply of antioxidants to the body is then useful and can have a beneficial effect on the disease. At the same time, the oocytes are also protected from the harmful effects of oxidative stress.
B vitamins
A scientific study showed that patients with autoimmune thyroiditis also often suffer from vitamin B12 deficiency. Together with vitamin B6 and folic acid, this vitamin contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism.
Based on these findings, a new generation of supplementary balanced diets for women who wish to have children was developed with Fertilovit® F THY.

Recommended consumption:
In order to ensure that your body's vital substance depots are optimally filled, it is advisable to consume Fertilovit® F THY some time before a planned pregnancy or a planned fertility treatment. Please take one Fertilovit® F THY capsule daily with some liquid.
If you are taking thyroid hormones, you should not take them at the same time as
Fertilovit® FT THY, as the iron contained in them can bind to these hormones and impair their function.
Note:
Fertilovit® F THY is a supplementary balanced diet and not a complete food. It is therefore not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet. Harmful effects have been demonstrated for some of the individual components contained in Fertilovit® FTHY in excessively high doses.
So please stick to the recommended dosage! Please consult your doctor before consuming Fertilovit® F THY, especially if you have other medical conditions.
Storage:
Please keep Fertilovit® F THY out of the reach of children.
