Long established in Indian medicine, the seed coats of Indian plantain, also known as psyllium, have been valued here for some time for their swelling properties. Due to their high mucilage content, psyllium husks can absorb up to 400 mL/g of liquid within four hours and swell many times their size. As a result, they stimulate receptors in the intestinal wall, which then ensure increased intestinal movement. Stool is transported away and excreted faster. This property makes them a valuable aid for constipation and chronic constipation. But the seeds can also provide relief from diarrhea. Due to their swelling, the retention time of the water in the intestine increases. More liquid can be bound and the consistency of the stool improves.

Recommended dosage :
Adults take three capsules of nupure colon pure daily with plenty of liquid. In order to make optimal use of the swelling of the psyllium husks, it should be taken with at least 250 ml of liquid and should be drunk sufficiently throughout the day. With insufficient hydration, the peels cannot develop their full potential.

It is recommended to take it in the morning and at noon or in the afternoon at the latest, as digestion is to be stimulated and accelerated. Consumption with milk should be avoided, since the swelling properties of the psyllium husk can be negatively influenced.
