The ointment contains a special skin protection complex that forms a water-repellent protective coat over the sensitive anal region. This nourishes the skin and protects the area from irritation. A gliding effect also facilitates bowel movements.
The components of the skin protection complex are jojoba wax, yellow beeswax and ceyl stearyl isononanoate (Cetiol SN). Each individual component has a special task:
jojoba wax is a liquid wax, which is often also referred to as jojoba oil. It regulates the skin's moisture balance, making it more elastic. In addition, jojoba wax inhibits inflammation. Yellow beeswax, also known as cera flava, keeps moisture out, Cetiol SN ensures that the protective complex is well distributed on the skin.
Application:
Posterisan protect is suitable for long-term use for hemorrhoid symptoms. You can use it whenever you need it and for up to four weeks without a break. It is also suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Posterisan® protect with jojoba oil, beeswax and cetyl stearyl isononanoate was developed to protect the skin and relieve minor discomfort in the anal area due to hemorrhoids. An anal dilator included in the package supports the gradual stretching of the sphincter.
How does Posterisan® protect work?
Thanks to its active ingredients, Posterisan® Protect alleviates minor discomfort in the anal region.
Jojoba oil regulates the skin's moisture balance and restores elasticity to the skin on and in the stressed anal area. There is also evidence that jojoba oil has an anti-inflammatory effect.
Cetyl stearyl isononanoate makes the skin supple and beeswax forms a water-repellent, protective film.
Due to its excellent tolerability, Posterisan® protect is suitable for long-term use (up to four weeks without interruption). It is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
How is Posterisan® protect used?
In the outer area of the anus, the ointment is applied thinly with the finger. For internal use (in the anal canal), the pack comes with an applicator with side outlet openings.
Regular use before and after defecation is useful to maintain protection.
What contribution does the anal dilator make when used with Posterisan® protect?
An anal stretcher is an aid to gradually stretch a cramped sphincter or to prevent sphincter spasms.
For better lubricity, the anal stretcher is coated thinly with ointment and an additional 1 cm long strand of ointment is placed on the tip of the anal stretcher.
