Silymarin STADA, a dry extract from milk thistle fruits, protects the liver cells from toxins and stimulates the formation of new liver cells. It is used to support the treatment of chronic inflammatory liver diseases and stimulates the formation of new liver cells.
*A mixture of peppermint leaves, dandelion, turmeric and yarrow also supports liver and bile activity.

NATURAL SUPPORT FOR THE LIVER
A healthy, functioning liver is very important for the entire organism. With a weight of approx. 1,500 g, it is the largest gland in the body and an important metabolic organ. However, various factors disturb the sensitive liver cells and their function, including in particular stimulants such as alcohol, excessively sugary and fatty foods and certain medications. Silymarin STADA® forte, a dry extract from milk thistle fruits, can protect the liver cells from toxins and stimulate the formation of new liver cells. Taking 1 capsule of Silymarin STADA® forte once or twice a day can support the treatment of chronic inflammatory liver diseases, liver cirrhosis and toxic liver damage (caused by toxins).
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults: 1 capsule once or twice a day (milk thistle fruit dry extract corresponding to 167 or 334 mg silymarin).
INGREDIENTS
The active ingredient is: milk thistle fruit dry extract
1 hard capsule contains 242.8-285.7 mg purified dry extract of milk thistle fruits (60-70:1) equivalent to 167 mg silymarin, calculated as silibinin (HPLC).
Extraction agent: ethanol 96% (v/v).
The other ingredients are:
cellulose powder, dextrin (potato starch), gelatin, magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur.) (vegetable source), sodium laurilsulphate, colloidal anhydrous silica, iron oxide red (II,III) oxide (E172), erythrosine (E127), indigo carmine (E132 ), titanium dioxide (E171).

Taking Silymarin STADA® forte with food, drink and alcohol
You should avoid alcohol as it can damage the liver.
Can pregnant or breastfeeding women take Silymarin STADA® forte?
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Silymarin STADA® forte must not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient examinations.
The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease. Ask this in doubt, your doctor or pharmacist.
overdose?
An overdose can cause gastrointestinal problems, among other things. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
Forgot to take?
Continue taking it as normal (i.e. not double the amount) at the next prescribed time.

- Children and adolescents under 18 years of age: The medicine must not be used.

- Beware of allergies to dyes (e.g. indigo carmine with the E number E 132)!
