With zinc to support the immune system
The trace element zinc is found in different concentrations in all organs. It activates and controls vital metabolic processes, especially in the area of carbohydrate and protein metabolism. Zinc is also significantly involved in the formation of hormones, especially the male gonad hormones.
If there is a zinc deficiency, numerous health problems can be identified, of which the following can be particularly prominent:
- Disturbances in the formation of new hair (decreasing hair quality) and fingernails (cracked transverse furrows, increased brittleness)
- Wound healing disorders, lack of regeneration of the skin
- Weakening of the immune system, allergies
- Decreased ability to smell and taste
- Increasing night blindness
- Restriction of fertility, especially in men, the activity of the gonads can be impaired
- Growth retardation in children and adolescents
Our current diet is often inadequate in terms of an adequate supply of zinc. As a result, a zinc deficit can develop in the organism, which can be compensated for by taking Unizink 50 regularly. Since the need for zinc is increased during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in diabetics, but also in athletes, there is an increased risk of zinc deficiency in these people.
In Unizink 50, the active ingredient zinc is bound to the body's own protein building block, the amino acid "aspartic acid" (= zinc aspartate). This zinc compound can be very well absorbed in the small intestine and effectively distributed to the organs.
Unizink® 50 – Your smart choice for zinc and zinc deficiency
Unizink® 50 is used to treat zinc deficiencies that cannot be corrected with nutrition. Zinc is an indispensable trace element for the organism and human health, which is involved in a large number of bodily functions. Signs of a zinc deficiency can include a weak immune system, skin problems, brittle or stained nails, tiredness, sleep problems, declining hair quality or hair loss.
Unizink® 50 contains an optimal dosage of zinc, so that one film-coated tablet per day is usually sufficient to prevent zinc deficiency. The organic zinc aspartate compound ensures optimal use of the active ingredient and is very well tolerated thanks to the stomach-friendly tablets. The strengthened immune system through Unizink® 50 can also alleviate or even prevent allergies and infections in addition to colds. Zinc is always vital - but risk groups such as diabetics, people with weakened immune systems and allergy sufferers should pay special attention to zinc.
Your advantages of Unizink® 50:
- compensates for zinc deficiency, thus strengthening your immune system
- optimal dosage for the daily requirement
- high bioavailability
- very well tolerated by stomach-friendly tablets
- only 1 tablet per day is usually sufficient

Chelating agents such as D-penicillamine, DMPS or EDTA can reduce the absorption of zinc or increase its excretion.
-
Zinc affects the absorption of ofloxazine and other quinolones.
-
The simultaneous administration of iron, copper or calcium salts reduces the absorption of zinc.
-
Foods with a high phytine content (e.g. grain products, legumes, nuts) reduce the absorption of zinc.
Contraindications
-
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of the drug.
-
Severe renal parenchymal damage, acute renal failure.
pregnancy and breast feeding period
-
In the case of a proven, clinically proven zinc deficiency, there are no restrictions on taking the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding in the therapeutic dose range.
patient notes
-
With long-term zinc intake, both copper and zinc levels should be monitored.
What speaks against an application?
Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist about this:
- Stomach ulcer
- Restricted kidney function
- Kidney failure
Which age group should be considered?

- Be careful if you have an intolerance to fructose (fruit sugar). If you have to follow a diabetic diet, you should consider the sugar content.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicine you are already using before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
How does the ingredient of the medicine work?
