Vein problems are everyone's problem
90 percent* of adults suffer from vein changes. Vein problems are a widespread disease that does not only affect the elderly. Young people also complain about the first symptoms of a chronic venous disease, such as heavy and swollen legs, tingling, spider veins or varicose veins. The symptoms increase with age. Especially on hot days, the problem becomes unbearable for those affected. Basically, when it's hot, the only thing that comes to light is what has been slumbering under the surface all year round! Venous disease is a year-round problem.
A vein problem is favored by risk factors such as lack of exercise, obesity, genetic predisposition and a lot of sitting or standing.
But how can those affected interpret the first signs and take countermeasures?
The first signs of venous insufficiency are tired, heavy legs and spider veins. Spider veins are dilated small veins that are easily visible and located directly in the epidermis. Pain in the legs, calf cramps, varicose veins, a feeling of tightness and swelling of the legs and feet, so-called oedema, occur as the disease progresses. Venous insufficiency is particularly bad when visible skin changes, lower leg ulcers or even an open leg occur.
Take care of your vein problems in good time!
Once the vein disease is there, it can get worse - as long as it is left untreated. It is therefore important to intervene at the first sign of venous insufficiency:

  • Move a lot and activate your muscle pumps.
  • If you are overweight, weight loss is strongly recommended, otherwise the pressure on the veins will be too great.
  • Wear prescribed compression stockings consistently.
  • Wear shoes with a lower heel and a flexible sole.
  • Build sport, yoga, Pilates or special vein exercises into your everyday life.
  • Use Antistax® products with red vine leaf extract.

Are your legs heavy and swollen? Then up with it! Or go for a walk. Always act according to our recommended formula "LLSS": walk and lie down rather than stand and sit. Anyone who sits a lot or only stands prevents the used blood from migrating from the leg back to the heart. This increases the pressure on the vein wall and the veins become inflamed.

Why should Antistax® extra vein tablets be taken permanently?
Venous insufficiency is a steadily progressing process. It takes time for the inflammatory processes in the veins to subside and for the accumulated fluid to be removed from the legs. It is therefore advisable to take the vein tablets for at least three months. Just swallowing a tablet every now and then for acute symptoms does not improve the vein problems. It is a chronic condition that should be treated throughout the year.

How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The ingredients come from the grapevine plant and act as a natural mixture. About the plant itself:

  - Appearance: woody climbing shrub with large lobed leaves and small, inconspicuous flowers that ripen into juicy green or red grapes -
Occurrence: Europe, western Asia, cultivation in all warm temperate zones
  - Main ingredients: condensed tannins (proanthocyanidins) , flavonoids, fruit acids
  - Plant parts and preparations used: mainly leaf extracts
Due to their structure, proanthocyanidins can intercept harmful radicals and have an antioxidant effect. They inhibit enzymes that make the capillary vessels brittle, thereby maintaining the elasticity of the veins. The flavonoids that are also contained have an anti-inflammatory effect.
