- BiGaia ® contains the lactic acid bacterium Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938 to build up a balanced intestinal flora and thus helps to alleviate infant colic with excessive crying.
- What are lactic acid bacteria?
- Lactic acid bacteria are bacteria that are able to break down sugar into lactic acid. Many different lactic acid bacteria colonize the human intestine in addition to other bacteria. Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938 belongs to the group of lactic acid bacteria.
Dosage
- Add 1 x 5 drops (1 x 10 8 KBE* Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938) to 1 teaspoon of breast milk daily.

Way
- Shake the bottle vigorously before each use until the sediment is evenly distributed. Hold the opened bottle at an angle of about 45 degrees with the dropper pointing downwards, then the drops will come off easily.
- Note: Do not mix BiGaia ® with hot food and do not take it at the same time as antibiotics, as this can damage the lactic acid bacteria. BiGaia ® must not be used parenterally.

- How should you store BiGaia ® ?
- Store at room temperature (max. 25°C).
- Once opened, the shelf life is 90 days at room temperature.
- Please close the bottle carefully after each use and store the opened bottle upright.
- The best before date is printed on the label and on the packaging.
