Lactobact® BABY+ is the probiotic for babies and toddlers from the quality leader HLH BioPharma. Babies' intestines have different needs than adults'. With 3 probiotic bacterial cultures, the preparation contributes to promoting a balanced intestinal microbiota (intestinal flora). The intestinal microbiota supports the body in fighting off unwanted germs.

The product is also ideal for preventing 3-month colic and digestive problems.

C-section children and babies who are not breastfed do not naturally receive the good bacterial makeup of their mothers and are therefore more susceptible to diseases. It is therefore recommended to support the children's intestines with a probiotic.

Lactobact® BABY+ can also be used to support antibiotic therapies in order to reduce subsequent problems.

The product is supplemented by pantothenic acid and folic acid (vitamin B5 & B9), which also support the immune system.

The probiotic microorganisms in Lactobact® BABY+ are protected from harmful gastric acid at a microscopic level by a vegetable coating, the so-called microencapsulation, so that they can develop their full effect in the intestine.

This coating allows the powder to be stirred into the warm bottle or porridge without harming the bacteria.

Who should use Lactobact® BABY+?
Lactobact® BABY+ is a high-quality probiotic for babies and toddlers. The product is characterized by a careful selection of ingredients and conscientious production.

The 3 bacterial cultures contained have a positive influence on the bacterial colonization of the intestinal microbiota (intestinal flora). The intestinal microbiota plays an important role, especially in early childhood development. Parents should counteract an imbalance (dysbiosis) or colonization of the intestine with wrong, pathogenic bacteria at an early stage.

Particularly frequently affected by dysbiosis are caesarean births, babies who are not breastfed and also babies who have received medication such as antibiotics at an early age. In the natural birth process, the swallowing of the vaginal bacteria causes an initial colonization with bacteria. C-section infants do not receive this natural and protective colonization and pick up the bacteria found in the delivery room.

Likewise, other good and protective bacteria are ingested through breast milk that are not contained in industrially manufactured breast milk substitutes.

The resulting dysbiosis can have various negative health effects. Digestive problems such as frequent and recurring diarrhea or constipation are classic. Intolerance and allergies can also arise from a dysbiosis of the intestinal microbiota. Experts also recommend taking probiotics to treat childhood neurodermatitis and other dermatological problems. Researchers have also found that ADHD in children may be linked to gut health.

The greatest feature, however, is that the bacteria in Lactobact® BABY+ are protected from gastric acid by a patented technology. The so-called "microencapsulation" (INTELICAPS®) is a vegetable coating of the bacteria on a microscopic level. Only when the pH value in the small intestine rises does the coating dissolve and the previously freeze-dried bacteria soak up liquid, are activated and achieve their effect.

If probiotics do not protect against gastric acid, the majority of the bacteria die before they reach the intestinal site of action. They cannot colonize the intestines and their consumption has no health effect. If this is the case, even products with extremely high bacterial concentrations have little effect. The probiotic bacteria in Lactobact® BABY+ are specially selected and contained in a therapeutically sensible concentration of 200 million units per daily dose. The selection of the bacterial strains is based on the current state of scientific knowledge based on a wide variety of specialist studies.

Normally, heat is a threat to the bacteria contained in probiotics, which can die off and thus no longer colonize the intestine after consumption. However, the casing (INTELICAPS®) used with Lactobact® BABY+ offers reliable protection from heat, so that the powder can be stirred into the bottle or the porridge at consumption temperature.

The probiotic bacteria in Lactobact® BABY+ are supported by the additional ingredients pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and folic acid (vitamin B9). Both vitamins are of great importance for the development of babies. Pantothenic acid supports the development of the central nervous system, while folic acid strengthens the immune system. Pregnant women also often have an increased need for both substances.
