The most important function of the physiological intestinal flora is the defense against foreign germs, even pathogenic species. In the presence of stress and/or indigestion with dysbiosis, in which the ratio of the main flora to the residual and accompanying flora is shifted in favor of the latter, intestinal infections become manifest, which can lead to death in young animals. Recent findings on germ competition have shown that in dysbiosis, the oral intake of large numbers of vital germs belonging to the main flora reduces the penetration, adhesion and multiplication of diarrhea-causing germs or, in the case of mild infections, completely eliminates them. In the case of severe intestinal infections, this gives the organism time to activate its defense system and form antibodies. Bactisel - HK contains lyophilized, microencapsulated, High concentrations of non-pathogenic lactic acid bacteria of the genus Enterococcus faecium (cylactin) that are viable and able to reproduce in the intestine. Since indigestion is always associated with malabsorption, vitamins A, D and E, which are important for the regeneration of the intestinal mucosa, have also been added.
Bactisel HK is tailored to the needs of dogs and cats and is an effective prophylactic against dysbiosis. Insofar as therapeutic measures are required for severe diarrheal diseases, its use has proven itself to accompany and supplement therapy in order to achieve rapid and lasting healing success.

Feeding recommendation:
- Dogs 7-15kg body weight: receive 6g daily
- Dogs 15-25kg body weight: receive 10g daily
- Dogs 25-50kg body weight: receive 16g daily
- Dogs over 50kg body weight: receive 24g daily
- Cats: receive 6g daily
Administer for at least 7 days. 1 heaped measuring spoon corresponds to approx. 6 g. Avoid underdosing.
Note
Because of the increased vitamin D3 content compared to complete feed, this supplementary feed may only be given to dogs and cats in accordance with the feeding instructions. Simultaneous administration of vitamin D2 is not permitted.
