Canikur®Pro - diet supplement for dogs and cats to support the natural intestinal flora

Canikur®Pro is a probiotic and prebiotic diet supplement for dogs and cats to regulate the physiological intestinal function in uncomplicated diarrheal diseases. It can be given during and after diarrhea therapy to support the intestinal flora. Unfortunately, diarrhea is one of the most common reasons why we seek veterinary help with our pets. If our dog or cat has diarrhea, the intestinal flora is also attacked at the same time. Conversely, a diseased intestinal flora often leads to diarrhea. An imbalance in the intestinal flora can be caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites and food. Poisoning, immune reactions, medication and metabolic diseases can also trigger diarrhea.

Canikur®Pro has proven itself very well in the accompanying treatment of intestinal problems in dogs (and also cats).

Canikur®Pro - The 3-fold combined dietary supplement for dogs and cats

• Probiotic lactic acid bacteria form a protective shield for the intestinal wall and stimulate the immune system.

• As a substrate, prebiotics specifically stimulate the growth and activity of certain types of bacteria that are beneficial for the intestinal flora.

• Montmorillonite binds toxins and viruses and removes them from the organism. It helps fight diarrhea and vomiting, overcome viral infections faster and prevent poisoning.

Canikur®Pro Paste can be given twice a day with the food or directly into the mouth of the dog or cat according to the specified dosage. When administering additional medication, always administer Canikur®Pro 1 to 2 hours later.

Why does my dog/cat have diarrhea?

Diarrhea is a symptom with many causes. What they all have in common is that they lead to increased water loss through the faeces. The causes can be harmless, but they can also be serious.

• Ingestion of incompatible feed (e.g. waste) or contaminated water (e.g. puddle water)
• Dietary changes or food intolerances
• general stress
• Infections caused by viruses (e.g. parvoviruses), protozoa (e.g. giardia), parasites (e.g. intestinal worms) or bacteria (e.g. campylobacter)
• Organ or metabolic diseases (e.g. pancreatic disease)
• Chronic intestinal inflammation (e.g. immunological)
• Medication (e.g. antibiotics)
• Tumor diseases (e.g. lymphoma of the gastrointestinal tract)

If you have diarrhea, you should always keep a close eye on your pet and provide dietary support if necessary. Canikur®Pro is a natural diet supplement for uncomplicated diarrhea.

How long can I use Canikur®Pro ?

Use Canikur®Pro for as long as deemed necessary or recommended by the vet, but no longer than 4 weeks. During antibiotic treatment, you can use Canikur®Pro for up to seven days after the end of antibiotic therapy. In cases of acute diarrhea, Canikur®Pro should be given until the diarrhea stops and for a few days after that. If your animal's general condition deteriorates and/or the diarrhea does not improve within 48 hours of starting Canikur®Pro, consult a veterinarian immediately. If you have chronic diarrhea, you should always consult your veterinarian. Canikur®Pro can be given alongside therapeutic agents for the duration of the diarrhea. In order to avoid stress-induced diarrhea, Canikur®Pro can be taken one day before the stressful event (e.g.

Is Canikur®Pro also suitable for puppies?

Yes, Canikur®Pro can be given to puppies from the age of 3 weeks. Infections or infestations with worms, for example, can literally hit the "little ones" in the stomach and intestines. Puppies are curious and explore their environment - their noses sniff the ground and it is not uncommon for waste to be tracked down and playfully eaten when they go for a walk. The result can be diarrhea, since this waste is not tolerated.
In the case of puppy diarrhea, however, an infestation with worms or other parasites as well as infections with bacteria or viruses should be considered in particular. Even poisoning can be a possibility. Therefore, if you have diarrhea, please visit your vet as a matter of principle - because diarrhea can be life-threatening.
