Canosan® with original Gonex® green-lipped mussel extract
The extract from the New Zealand green-lipped mussel can make “joint bonding” easier not only for us humans, but also for our four-legged friends. Due to its valuable ingredients, green-lipped mussel extract is usually administered in animal health in the form of supplementary feed.
Gonex® makes the difference
The special properties of Canosan® are based on its ingredient Gonex® with active green-lipped mussel extract. The activity and quality of the extract is guaranteed by a special, standardized production process from harvest to bottling:
- Harvesting: For Canosan® with Gonex®, only farmed mussels cultivated under controlled conditions are harvested at the time when the nutrient concentration is at its maximum.
- Extract extraction: The mussels are opened without the effect of heat. The extract for Gonex® is obtained from 100% pure mussel meat.
- Further processing: The Gonex® mussel extract is further processed in a gentle cold-press process, since the effects of heat would endanger the valuable nutrients.

1. How long can Canosan® be administered?
Canosan® makes an important contribution to the joint health of dogs in every phase of life and in every stressful situation. The pellets are well tolerated and free from the most common allergens such as animal protein including milk, wheat, gluten and soy. Canosan® has a positive influence on the components of the dog's joint both in the prophylaxis and in the therapy of joint diseases. If your dog is already affected by joint disease, you should give Canosan® around 2-3 months to assess the full effect due to the chronic changes in the joints. In principle, however, Canosan® is suitable for long-term to lifelong use - as a daily addition to dog food.
2. Is Canosan® also available in tablet form?
Canosan® is also available in the form of chewable tablets. They are the hypoallergenic alternative for active joint health and contain only yeast, Gonex® and hydrolyzed vegetable protein and are therefore free from all known allergens. The chewable tablets are ideal as a travel size and starter pack or for short-term administration after joint operations.
3. Is Canosan® also available for cats?
A healthy musculoskeletal system, which includes bones and muscles as well as fully functional joints, is and remains important for an active, fulfilled cat life. And of course cats are not spared from joint problems - for all their supposed suppleness. That's why there are also Canosan® chewable tablets for cats to regulate and stabilize the joint and connective tissue metabolism. They are suitable both for prophylaxis and for effective therapy support for existing joint problems.
