In diseases of the respiratory organs
- For inflammation of the airways
- To promote coughing up tough mucus
- To relieve the urge to cough
Coughing is the body's natural response to a cold. It is used for self-cleaning of the respiratory tract.
In the event of an infection of the respiratory tract, the Weleda cough elixir calms the urge to cough and liquefies the stubborn mucus. This makes it easier to cough up and the respiratory tract is freed of bacteria and viruses, which relieves the immune system.
The extract of the marshmallow root protects the airways and relieves the urge to cough. Anise and thyme loosen stubborn secretions. Thyme warms, inhibits inflammation and, together with sundew and pasqueflower, stimulates expectoration.
The mild, soothing syrup is also suitable for use in children over the age of one. Due to its sugar content, Weleda cough elixir is not suitable for diabetics.
