The Seresto® collar for large dogs from 8 kg against ticks and fleas
Seresto® contains two active ingredients: Imidacloprid kills adult fleas and their larvae on contact with the treated animal. Flumethrin repels and kills ticks. In no other product do these two active ingredients work together.
The Seresto® dog collar repels and kills ticks and kills fleas - simply by contact with the dog's skin and coat. This means ticks don't have to bite your dog to be effectively killed. This indirectly reduces the risk of transmission of certain pathogens through tick bites.
Another advantage of Seresto®: it reduces the risk of leishmaniasis in dogs caused by the pathogen Leishmania infantum transmitted by sand fliesup to 8 months. This makes it particularly suitable for protection when travelling.
The special thing about the Seresto® collar: it releases its active ingredients in a controlled manner in small but effective amounts. This protects your dog against fleas and ticks for up to 8 months. The active ingredient remains in the natural fatty film of skin and coat. The collar is odorless and also water resistant, so a walk in the rain will not adversely affect the collar's performance.
The Seresto® collar for large dogs is recommended from a body weight of 8 kg. It is 70cm long.

Seresto ® 4.50 g + 2.03 g collar for dogs > 8 kg Areas of
application: For the prevention and treatment of flea infestations ( Ctenocephalides felis, C. canis ) with an effect of 7 to 8 months. The veterinary medicinal product prevents the development of flea larvae in the immediate vicinity of the animal for 8 months. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of the treatment strategy for allergic skin inflammation caused by flea bites (flea allergy dermatitis, FAD). The veterinary medicinal product has a persistent acaricidal (killing) effect on tick infestations such as Ixodes ricinus , Rhipicephalus sanguineus , Dermacentor reticulatus, as well as a repelling (anti-feeding = preventing blood meal) effect in case of tick infestation ( Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus ) with a duration of action of 8 months. The veterinary medicinal product is effective against larvae, nymphs and adult ticks. It is possible that ticks already present on the dog at the time of treatment are not killed within the first 48 hours after the collar is applied and remain attached and visible. Therefore, the ticks that are already on the dog at the time of treatment should be removed. Protection against infestation with new ticks begins within two days of putting on the collar. The veterinary medicinal product provides indirect protection against transmission of the pathogenBabesia canis vogeli and Ehrlichia canis by the vector tick Rhipicephalus sanguineus . This reduces the risk of babesiosis and canine Ehrlichiosis over a period of seven months. To reduce the risk of infection by the sand fly-borne pathogen Leishmania infantum for a period of up to 8 months. Treatment against biting lice ( Trichodectes canis ).
